14 Workout Tips to Triple its Effefctiveness

It’s possible to get a super-effective workout in 30 minutes, and only do a few workouts a week, if you maximize your workouts.
Disclaimer: First, I’m not a certified trainer.
Don’t dive right into this program — it’s designed for people who have already been working out and want to get better results.
  1. Limit your workouts to 30-40 minutes.
After 30 or 40 minutes, the benefit isn’t as great. To go that long, you’d have to lower the intensity of the workout, and that means that you’re spending too much time working out. It’s better to work out at a higher intensity for a shorter amount of time.
  1. High-intensity workouts. If you’re just starting out with exercise, it’s best to take it slow. If you’re running or cycling, for example, build up your endurance for at least a month before you get into anything more intense. However, once you have that base of endurance, step up the intensity to step up the effectiveness of the workout.
  2. Protein. Many people don’t pay enough attention to getting the protein their muscles need to rebuild. If you don’t, you are going to get very little out of your workout, as both cardio and strength workouts require protein for building muscles. I would recommend protein shakes.
  3. Water. Be sure to hydrate throughout the day. It takes a couple of hours for your body to absorb the water, so you can’t just drink right before exercise. Make it a habit to drink water regularly throughout the day.
  4. Carbs. Although the low-carb craze might say otherwise, carbs are our body’s main source of fuel. If you do intense workouts, you will need carbs, or you won’t have enough energy.
  5. Slow lifting. Many people contract their muscles slowly and then release more quickly. But if you lift slowly in both directions, you are maximizing each move. Lift and lower to a 5-second count in each direction.
  6. Heavier weight. When you’re starting out, it’s best to start with lower weights so you can focus on good form. But once you’ve gotten your form down, it’s best to lift the heaviest weights you can lift while still keeping good form. Don’t sacrifice form for heavy weights — that is ineffective. But heavy weights, with good form, can give you better results in a shorter amount of time.
  7. One set, to failure. Instead of doing 2-3 sets, as many people do, maximize your effectiveness by doing just one, with heavy weights, until you can no longer keep the proper form. Lifting to “failure” doesn’t mean that you should lift the last few times with a wobbly or inefficient form.
  8. Compound exercises. Instead of isolating your muscles with exercises such as the bicep curl, you can maximize the time you spend in a workout by doing exercises that work out multiple muscle groups at once. With just a few exercises, you could get a full-body workout. Another benefit is that your muscles are working together as they do in the real world, rather than alone. Some great compound exercises include squats, deadlifts, good mornings, lunges, pushups, bench presses, military presses, rows, pullups, dips, and more.
  9. Pick a cardio exercise you enjoy. It’s no fun to exercise if you hate it. And you won’t keep it up for very long. Pick something that’s fun — running, walking, swimming, biking, hiking, rowing, stairmaster, etc. After the initial phase when you’re getting used to exercise, you’ll start to have a blast and look forward to it.
  10. Mix it up. Don’t stick to the same workout routine for too long. For strength training, change your routine every few weeks. For cardio, it’s best to cross train rather than, say, to run every time.
  11. Good form. For strength training especially, and swimming, form is very important, but it’s also important for other types of exercise. If you’re strength training, start with lighter weights so you can work on your form. Never sacrifice form for heavier weight.
  12. Hills. If you run or bike or walk for cardio, you’ll want to incorporate hills. These will make you stronger and make your limited workout time even more effective. Take them easy at first, but once you’re used to hills, you can get a good pace going. Either use a hilly route or do repeats on one hill.
  13. Circuits. One mistake that people make is to do multiple sets of the same exercise without rest between the sets. This doesn’t allow your muscles to recover and it’s a waste of your workout. But instead of doing a set, resting, and then doing your second set, it’s more effective to move on to multiple exercises in a circuit, so that you don’t rest between exercises but do rest each muscle group.

DIVERGENT- MOVIE REVIEW AND DISCUSSION

I love the Divergent Books, Now I do say this about a lot of books but this time I am serious. I watched the movie for the first time on Monday, and let me tell you I think even though it misses parts of the book that is to be expected I think they did an amazing job. However, I just don't know if the movie compliments the book as well as lets say Harry Potter. The actor for 4, Theo James, just seems to old to me , and when you see him with Tris is just didn't look right. I loved Jeanine Matthews aka Kate Winslet and I think she was the perfect "villain" per say. I think that many people say this is a Hunger Games ripp-off but its not its not "The Hunger Games" its "Divergent". It may be dystopian but they are completely different in almost every other aspect. Also, I am sure that Divergent was underway during the same time the Hunger Games was. But overall, I give this movie 7.5/10 stars for Setting,  Characters and Character Development, Special Effects, and everything else.

Celine Bags Worth the Hype?

Ok, so up above there is a Celine handbag and ok while it is gorgeous and good quality and soft and ok STOP $2,000 yup I am out! Like is it really worth the hype? I mean honestly I personally think that getting a designer handbag is not my any means unique and they dont even look good a lot of the time, but there is a part of my heart that attaches to them when I see one as beautiful as this. I think that it is just a hassle to keep this expensive of a bag clean and honestly I see people treat LV or Celine's better than themselves just saying. What do you guys think?

Tips for Growing Hair Healthy and Long

Having and maintaining long healthy hair can be very hard. It can be hard to wait and restrain yourself from cutting it, using heat, or even dying it. However, once you get that long healthy hair it is all worth it.

1. Drink plenty of Water- Ugh I cant even stress enough how important water is. I constantly find myself thirsty and instead of reaching for a sugary drink, make sure to always have a water bottle with you.

2.Cut your split ends, your hair grows from the top so cutting your split ends will just make your hair healthier and more likely to grow faster.

3.Don't comb or brush your hair when your hair is wet. Instead wait till it is dry and then if you have tangly hair brush it with a tangle teezer, they work great. Also dont brush too hard.

4. Try to wash your hair with cold water, because it will help your hair retain it natural oils.

5.Don't use harsh chemicals on your hair, and if you are going to use heat always use heat-protect tent

6.Make sure if you swim put your hair in a swim cap, I can't stress this enough I am a swimmer and on the days I don't wear a swim cap, my hair is like a monster.

7.Also you should eat right and take hair supplements if you want.

8.Also make sure you get a haircut that suits you, otherwise the fuss may be about nothing!

9.On days your hair is greasy try a dry shampoo

10. Finally avoid very tight buns or ponytails as they will break your hair, and it may be very hard to avoid but if you do have to put your hair up then absolutely do not use the rubber bands you find around newspapers in your hair. THESE ARE HORRIBLE

I hoped you found this information useful, and please don't forget to follow http://dreamincolor768.blogspot.com/ it would truly mean a lot to me!
Good Luck!

Learning A New Language Tips on how to Get Started

Learning a new Language can be hard, but it can be accomplished no matter what your age. It is obviously easier when you are 8, but even when you are 80 you can still do it. There is no magical pill that you can take to learn a language in a day or even a week however it is possible to be at a conversational level in lets say 2-3 months. I can now fluently speak 3 languages and attempting to learn 2 more. Now you must be wondering how to learn a language the most effective way, well you have all probably heard of people learning language from Rosetta Stone, an app on their phone,  or even just learning it all online. Now these are all good methods, but they aren't for everybody and they take extremely long amounts of time to get the desired results, not to mention they are usually crazy expensive. Here are the programs, tips, and tricks I use to efficiently learn a new language in my experience. I hope this helps.

  • Free Programs: Well there is one free program that I love to use, it only ha a few language options (French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Can you guess, DUOLINGO. It ha been one of my favorite programs ever since I discovered it a few years ago. It is absolutely free, and while it may not provide as many languages, or have the conversational speaking program that perhaps Pimsluer has it is still by far one of the best free programs out there.

  • Other Programs: Another program that is great is Babbel, it is not free however it is only about $15 a month which is not that bad. It has a wide selection of languages, however does not offer Arabic or Mandarin, which are main languages.
    • However, my all time favorite has to be Pimluer, it has over 50 languages, and right now you can get 30% off the original price by using the code SPRING14. I am almost done learning Arabic on Pimsleur and let me tell you why this works. First off, it is fast paced and it claims you can learn the basics of a language in 10 days. You truly can, it only takes 20-30 minutes a day, and at the beginning of every lesson you hear a real conversation and you can learn to understand and even take part in it. It make you repeat everything you hear and you learn the genders of words, and how to link them to other phrases, so when you are speaking the language it does not sound choppy. I have heard that a new language program called fluenz has this same method as well, and I will be trying that out soon. But as you can see Pimsleur is a great program and I would highly recommend it.

Tips and Tricks
  1. Conversation Conversation Conversation, if any one in you family or friend speak the language you are trying to learn have them talk to you, and try to have a real conversation in that language. It doesn't matter how well you know it any real conversation helps.
  2. It doesn't matter how many hours you do it, what matters is the quality of how you study. Many people will study 3-4 a week and will never remember anything, this is because you need repetition. Now you dont want to do it everyday necessarily but it depends on how long you study for. If you study for 30 minutes every day you may want to study 5 out of 7 days every week, also another great tip is to say what you learned out loud right before you go to sleep. However if you study for 1-2 hours a day, then you may want to take breaks and study only 3 days a week, really focusing on retaining all of that material you learned; and when you now you have it down then continue because otherwise it will be a waste of time.
  3. I would not recommend taking classes or courses at a college, just because you can do it at home and at home you can choose the length you study, you are not as pressured, you end up learning more jut because in classes you usually don't learn grammar or how to speak in a real conversation, also no one really has the time.
  4.  Vocabulary, along with conversation and grammar I would focus on linking words together so you can make basic phrases, learning would like (this, that would, could, need, where, why, please, hello, excuse me, from, different countries, titles, and names of venues, and food are very very helpful) along with this it is very useful to learn 100 of the most common words
  5. Carry a Pocket Dictionary and when you have free time, instead of playing Flappy Bird look at the phrases for a couple minutes and refresh your memory.
  6. Keep Practicing in your Head
  7. Use audio courses as much as you can, because they are the most effective
  8. Try reading basic books, newspapers, or even watching a Disney movie in that language.
